Young talent meets old achievements
During our anniversary year, we placed our historical achievements in a contemporary perspective. Young, talented artists shaped our anniversary and made it tangible through a unique artwork. This illustration was created by artist Ez Silva. Can you recognize the following elements in the drawing?
- The grand entrance of the ss Statendam of the Holland America Line (1929);
- Chandelier based on original drawing from the Mutters archive (date unknown);
- The 'royal' predicate (since 1999);
- Steel tube furniture designed by Mutters IV for modern living interiors, from the private collection of Harry and Ilse de Haas (circa 1936);
- Yacht from the latest series by Feadship/De Vries;
- The main warehouse and shop of HH De Klerk in Shopping City Blijdorp, Walenburgerweg, Rotterdam (1940);
- Wooden elements seen in Mutters furniture, made for the Marot Dining Room (Noordeinde Palace, The Hague), known for the Uitblinkerslunch (lunch with Dutch citizens who excel in their field of expertise) with the Dutch royal couple.
